  1. I used to think that the first-hand experience of s*x makes a person grow up. Well, I received that experience as early as the 15th year of my life and was filled with pride, "Oh! I'm an adult now!" But six years later some circumstances compelled me to think otherwise. In fact s*x is children's game. Maturity comes only when you delve deeply into the mystery of human relationships. It is impossible to understand the entire mystery, but the more you understand the more mature you become...

  2. It is a maturity level through learning process via knowledge and skill. There is no end of it, unless you are fully saturated, ie Moksha (Salvation). In a day to day life, it is a relative term of your reactions towards different situations of life. A two year child is grown up to walk on his feets, but a 70 year old man may not be grown up to visualise his goal of life. It depends!

  3. I'm 34. When I graduated from high school, I mistakenly thought I knew a lot. I went to college and learned just how wrong I was. I grew up a lot from the time I entered college to the time I graduated. I learned to be more independent and self-sufficient. Growing up means taking responsibility for your life and the decisions that you make. I think I became a grown up in my mid to late 20s. It is hard taking responsibility for the decisions you make because you will make mistakes. I have. It's important to hold yourself together and not beat yourself up over it, which I have a tendency to do. I think you first start to really grow up and mature when you realize how vast the world is and how little you know and how much you still have to learn. I hope that I never stop learning. I hope that I never reach the day where I believe that I know all that I need to. It's humbling. It does seem to make you more thoughtful. I have noticed that for myself. It depends on what you value in terms of its importance in life. If you value real respect from others then it's important to grow up. If you don't then it doesn't matter. I know some adults (40+) that are still big children. They are in lucky situations where they have a large inheritance and don't really have to do much. They have parents that will bail them out of mistakes they may make. They whine too. One in particular that I'm thinking of. I have little respect for him. Life isn't so bad for him but he acts like it's just horrible. Melodramatic. I think a grown up is able to put things into perspective. It could be worse. I'm thankful for what I have. Life is a journey. Versus someone that just whines and cries if they don't get their way or if there is a slight wrinkle in their plans.

edit: It is very hard to be a grown up. It's no wonder that some people just rebel. I can relate to that.

  4. well growing up is different for every activity... a 3 yr old is grown up for learning to talk or walk... and on genral note.. i'll take being grown up is being mature enough to understand good and bad of our own selves and being mature enough to know right and wrong for our own selves... many goverments give age of adult as 18... at this point one may or may not be mature enough totake care of own self.. i dont feel i am mature though i am 19...

  5. when will you grown up means when will you stop acting like a child.

growing up is important in life because once you reach certain ages you can do certain things and are expected to act in a certain way

    xoxo

  6. Grow Up is:  becoming an adult.  Age 18

It means your actions are those of an adult.  Most 18 yr olds are still children in my book.  I'd say 25 is a better age for becoming an adult, but the government says 18.

  7. I thought I was grown up when I was 18.  Wrong.  I thought I was grown up when I was 21.  Wrong.  It is all about maturity.  It is about slowing down and realizing what is important in life.  Inner Peace.  I am 42 years old.

  8. grow up is when you and you yourself understands what life is really about and what you need too do to survive...

to go to work at 5 in the morning and come back at 7 to feed yourself or you family whoever you car for....

grow up is and expression to show kids that it time to go through it and stop being so reliant on others...

  9. when/what. thats part of growing up i guess.. spelling right :)

um growing up is based almost entirely on two things. maturity and responsibility.  its importance lies mostly in how others view you, having grown up.  you are more accepted into society, by people, by jobs even. perhaps by other cultures.
