  1. yes

  2. As far as I can tell the mail to the inmates are opened and looked through for unauthorized content, ie pornographic materials, but the outgoing mail from the inmate is sealed when they send it to be mailed out and arrives to me unopened and not read.

  3. im pretty sure they do

  4. No.. they don't read your mail to the prisoner but they will censor all outgoing mail he sends to you..  before they let him send it off they will read and censor it..  your mail no .. they don't read that. but they read his mail to you.. x*x

  5. all incoming and outgoing mail is read by the prison staff.  There is a set of guidelines all letters must be in order to be passed on to said inmate, if the letter does not fall within those guidelines, 1) the letter is sent back to you with a note from the staff saying it did not meet the guidelines for acceptable mail and then the inmate is informed that although they were sent mail, the mail did not meet the guidelines and therefore they will not be getting it .

Also certian pictures /language /content can get the letter sent back to you.

  6. All prison mail is read -- in coming and out going

  7. Oh, yes they read them.  Be careful what you write.
