http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s manager, Arsene Wenger strongly believes that his side can go on and win the league title this season, given the way they have been playing so far.
The North London club went on to come back from a one nil deficit, to draw their game against last season’s league winners, Manchester City, and Wenger feels the spirit the team has been showing just goes to show what the team is capable of.
The match saw Arsenal dominate proceedings early on, but goal from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941 saw the Gunners trail their opponents. In the second half, the Gunners looked to create a goal scoring chance on a number of occasions, but they failed to do so for the most part.
However, in the dying stages of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Laurent-Koscielny-c21742 went on to score for the North London club, as he scored from a corner.
As a result, the match ended in a one all draw for the two teams.
Wenger feels that the spirit and belief that the club have shown is brilliant, and should they continue to play in the same manager, they could contest for the league title.
He told reporters: "What happened here should strengthen our belief.”
"I hope the game reassured us about our potential in this league. It looks like it will be interesting. We believe it but it’s down to consistency.”
"We have the potential and the attitude. Can we keep the focus and continue to improve? Time will tell but at the moment I am very happy with our spirit and that is a good basis."
Despite the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Positive-Vibes-c40265 that Wenger has gotten from his team, he still feels like there is room for the team to do a whole lot more.
He feels the team could do much better should they focus a little more, and once they start to do just that, then no one would be able to catch them.
"I’m pleased with the quality of our performance and spirit. I am frustrated as well because I feel there was room to do more."
It is now a wait to see just where and how the North London club end their season.
