Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has finally gone on to admit that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 could soon be on his way out of the Emirates.
The North London club’s captain recently went on to admit that he won’t be extending his stay with the club and once his contract comes to an end, he won’t be representing the team any longer.
With just a year left on his contract, it is believed that the team are now looking to let the forward leave for a transfer fee, as opposed to letting him leave for free.
The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus are believed to be the most interested teams, who have been pushing to land the forward in recent weeks.
It is also believed that all three teams have made initial bids for the striker and the Gunners have asked them to come back with much better offers.
The team is believed to be holding out for a fee worth around twenty million pounds and won’t really sell for anything less than that.
Wenger, who had been in denial over the player’s transfer for the longest time, finally went on to come to terms with the fact that if a transfer was to take place, then perhaps that is what would be best for the team.
“If the transfers happen, they happen.”
“You know I am a big supporter of him," he added. "Our desire is to keep Van Persie. At the end of the day, we will do what is in the best interests of the club.”
HE then went on to talk about the coming season, as he admitted the team needs to focus on trying to get off to a good start, irrelevant of what happens and who leaves the club over the summer.
“We know how much we had to fight to come third last year because we missed out the start of the season. After seven games we had lost four and we have learned that for us it is vital for us to focus on the start of the season rather than on any transfers,"
Wenger said.
