Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has expressed his delight for the way his squad have gone on to prove just how relentless they can be.
The North London club went on to take on Newcastle United in the Premier League this past weekend, in a game that was bound to be a real test for the team.
The Gunners went down to a Ben Arfa goal, but went on to equalise just fifty five second later.
Despite the team’s ability to get back in the game almost immediately, they were unable to find the back of the net till the 95th minute, when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thomas-Vermaelen-c35002 went on to covert from close range.
As a result of that late strike from the defender, the Gunners picked up all three points from the game and went to being within a point of Tottenham, who occupy the third spot in the league.
Wenger has admitted that he is quite happy with the way his squad have gone on to perform in recent weeks and believes that this resilient attitude that the team is showing is bound to help them in the future.
When talking about his team and the way they have been playing, the Gunners boss is quoted to have said: "That is the best response to something that has been questioned sometimes this season"
"I believe that shows we have quality, we have spirit, which I have never questioned. It was a relentless effort again tonight from the first to the last minute. The tempo was absolutely top-level tonight. We kept going until the last second and just managed
to win the game.”

"Certainly the fact we have done it before helped us. Even when we were 1-0 down we just kept going and we feel now at the moment in the team we just have that complete and total commitment to do as well as we can and give absolutely everything.”
Should http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 continue to perform the way they have been over the course of their last few games, the team could easily go on and claim the third spot, while ensuring their qualification for the Champions League.
