Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is quite happy with the way his side have started to perform in recent weeks and believes the team has really proven their worth this season.
The North London club started off the season on the back foot and went on to pick up only seven points from their opening seven games.
At one point, the team was sitting in the seventeenth spot, with it seeming impossible for them to break back into the top half of the table.
However, a couple of months later, the team is fighting to maintain their stay in the third spot and have even gone on to beat Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the process.
Wenger believes that his team has finally grown together as a unit and are now ready to go on and turn things around.
However, he admitted that his side could have looked to win the league, had they displayed this form and mentality a little earlier in the season.
When talking about how the season has gone this time around, the Gunners boss is quoted to have said: "This team has grown in the last two or three months and it is a shame that the distance [until the end of the season] is not longer now.’
"We are [10] points behind Manchester City now, when you think back to where we were at the start of the season. You can think that we were disturbed at the start of the season.”
He then went on to express his delight for the win over City, but insisted that the team needed to do the same against Wolves.
"This was a very big result and we have to have another one on Wednesday against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952. You know how easy it is to have a crisis at a big club.”
Arsenal’s youngsters have finally started to mature and fit into the team and should the team end the season on a high, they could come back next season, with their eyes set on winning at least one trophy.
It is now a wait to see just how the team ends their current campaign.
