Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to express his delight over the fact that Carl Jenkinson has gone on to be called for the England, and he feels that it will help improve his confidence and performances to a great extent.
The twenty year old defender was called up to the England squad for the friendly game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015, and he managed to feature for only sixteen minutes in the game.
England did go on to lose that match by four goals to two, but  Wenger feels that the overall boost that the youngster got from the game is going to help him out immensely.
Jenkinson has already gone on to impress for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international, things seem to be getting better for the player as the days go by.
“I’m massively pleased for Carl because he had a good start to the season and was rewarded last night,” said the Gunners boss.
“That will hopefully boost his confidence as well.”

“I’m very happy. It was quite an interesting game. England did not get the result, but for me they played well in big parts of the game. There were a lot of positives in that game for England.”

At the same time, Wenger also took time out to reveal just how happy he was over the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
The manager feels that if he had played a decent number of minutes for the national team, he would have not been able to give his best in the game against Tottenham, and that he could have potentially been dropped from the team in that scenario.

“I believe he didn’t need games,” Wenger continued. “He was overloaded with games so on that front I was happy that he got a little breather.

“It is not a complete breather because 20 hours travelling is of course not what we want. It’s the advantage and the disadvantage of being called up in a squad. At least he didn’t get injured and hopefully will recover before Saturday.”
However, Wenger is a little disappointed that the player had to travel for twenty hours in order to just be a part of the Spanish squad.
Nonetheless, should the manager be able to let the players who went away on international duty take a break on Friday and Saturday morning, then they would be more than capable of giving it their best in the game against Tottenham.
