Based on the way that the team has been playing, the Gunners boss is convinced that the new signings can prove that the team has replaced the departed players, and that they are now looking to land some silverware this season.
The manager feels that it is a good sign that the new players have started to score, since it shows how well the team has come together over the last couple of weeks.
“Of course it is good when new signings start well and score a goal," he said.

"I'm sure that in time these new players we have brought in will prove to the fans that they have the ability to play for us.”
"Everyone understood Cazorla would not need six months to settle in - I am pleased for him. For the first goal it was good to get Podolski in with a chance on his strong left foot.”
The manager was quite happy with the way the team played. He feels that they came together as a unit and that the passing and pressing game that they played, was just outstanding.
Wenger also went on to praise the team’s defence, that had been immense for the third week running.
"Overall we were solid in our usual passing game and scored two good goals but we were also very good defensively," said Wenger.
The club have not yet conceded a goal and should they continue to perform in the same manner in their coming games, then the team is bound to go on and contest for a trophy or two before the end of the season.
It is now up to Wenger to ensure that the team keeps on ticking and performing at its very best.
