Arsenal’s manger, Arsene Wenger has gone on to suggest that he won’t be letting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873 leave in the January transfer window, even if a new deal isn’t agreed between the player and the club.
At the moment, Walcott’s current contract with the club is set to run out in the summers of 2013. However, the club were looking to try and get the player to sign a contract extension before the turn of the year, but the way things are going, it seems like
it amy take longer for him to stand his stay at the club.
Walcott wants to play as a striker at the club, but with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 and Olivier Giroud arriving at the club in the summers, it seems like it might be rather hard for the player to play in his preferred position.
In a recent interview, Wenger was asked if the player had decided to pen down a new deal with the team. In response to that, the manager is reported to have said: "No. Will he stay until the end of the season? Yes.”
"If I listened to the media every day it gets more expensive. We continue in a positive way. We have until the end of December to sort it out.”
"He can play both positions. He can play up front, and he can play up front with Giroud as well. He has found a good mixture on the wing. It makes him difficult to stop. He finished as a centre forward and he scored..”
"With the midfield we have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715, in any position they will find you if you move well."
Walcott has been in rather impressive form in recent weeks. The player has been scoring goals for fun recently, and his crossing and passing has also seemingly improved rather significantly. With him now being close to the level that everyone though he could
be at, the team will not be willing to let go of him.
As a result, it is now going to be up to the player, the team and the manager to sort things out before his current contract with the team comes to an end.
