Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to praise the performances of both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kieran-Gibbs-c20945 and Carl Jenkinson, as he feels the two have gone on and proved that they have what it takes to be first team players at the club.
Gibbs, who came up through the youth system at the club made his debut for the team in 2007. However, a series of injuries prevented him from really making his mark on the team.
With the defender now running at maximum capacity and with him not having any injury problems, it seems like he is slowly going to grow into the role and make it his own.
When talking about Gibbs and his progress at the club, Wenger is reported to have said: "I am very happy with his performances because he is like Carl - in every game he gets stronger.”

"He was out a lot but now he has found stability in his performances.”

"Gael Clichy had the same problem. He went through a long period of injury and after that he stabilized physically. That’s what Kieran is doing at the moment."
On the other hand, Carl Jenkinson has slowly but surely been climbing up the ranks at the club. He was signed from Charlton in 2011, but with him playing regular football for the club, it is impossible to claim that he wasn’t playing in the Premier League
two seasons ago.
Wenger feels that Jenkinson has grown into his role at the club, and with him spending more time with the team in the pre season, he has become a crucial part of the team.
"This year they have benefited from the fact they had a good preparation," he said.

"Carl has as well gained one year’s experience compared to last season. He came from Charlton and was straight away thrown into the Champions League.”

"You can say that from game to game now he grows because it is linked with confidence.”
Should both the full backs continue to play to the best of their abilities, then they would prove to be a very important part of the team, as the Gunners look to end their barren trophy run.
