Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to dismiss the rumours linking the Gunners with a move for Newcastle United forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 to the Emirates.
With the transfer window set to open up in the near future, the Gunners have been linked with a move for a number of players.
Out of those, Ba and Villa seem to be leading the list of names that could be on the way to the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger recently went on to talk about the possibility of a move for both the players.
He first focused on Ba, but stated that despite the striker being rather good, it was highly unlikely for the North London club to make a move for him, since they currently had other plans. In doing so, he has gone on to rule out the possibility of signing
Ba in the near future.
"It is not right to speak about [Ba] because he plays against us [on Saturday]," Wenger told reporters.
"If you ask 'do we [want to] sign him?' I say no.”
The manager was then asked about Barcelona’s forward http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629. When talking about the Spaniard, the manager decided to remain rather quiet, as he suggested that this time around he was going to remain secretive over the players that he wanted to bring
to the Emirates.
The 63-year-old was also asked about the possibility of signing Villa, who is out of favour at Camp Nou, but refused to be drawn on whether or not the club were interested in the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 forward, insisting that all the Gunners' transfer targets will
remain a "secret".
Before the interview was over, Wenger was quizzed over the possibility of Theirry Henry returning to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429. When talking about that, the manager suggested that he didn’t know much and that it would be a wait to see just what happens in regards to Henry
making a comeback to the team.
He added: "I have not lost interest in him [Henry], he is still coming today to practise with us. I have not ruled out a move completely."
