Arseinal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to reveal that he plans on watching the NextGen tournament, as he hopes to uncover some brilliant talents for the future.
The competition began in the 2011-2012 season, with only sixteen clubs initially registering for it. However, based on its popularity, twenty five teams have now signed up for it, including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
Wenger has admitted that he plans on attending every single game of the competition, as he feels it is a very good opportunity for him to find the gems in the Gunners youth ranks, while finding potential super stars of the future.
"I will not miss a game when I can, believe me," he told the club's official website.
"I will watch every single game because I want to see what the other clubs have, what is going on, and if there is some evolution with the young players.”
"People don't realise that the most important thing is to keep in touch with the top level, and the top level in Europe is NextGen. It is the Champions League for youth and that is interesting."
The manager then went on to confirm that having a good youth structure is crucial for any team and that this NextGen tournament could prove to be a stroke of genius.
Not only would it help promote home grown talent, but it would also make finding younger talented players a whole lot easier.
"http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 is very good in youth-team work - if you look at the trophies those two countries have won in the last 15 years you will be absolutely amazed," he added.
"What is also interesting is that it contains some good information. So for us to be confronted with those clubs who have a reputation of having good youth-team work, like Marseille or Athletic Bilbao, is fantastic.”
Wenger has always had a keen eye for young talent and with him now embarking on this trip, it is a wonder how many potential super stars the Frenchman can uncover.
