The Frenchman has appeared to be among those who are being considered by the Paris-based for managing les Parisiens, as pressure mounts on current manager, Carlo Ancelotti.
Following Paris Saint-Germain’s string of poor performances, the club administration is forced to consider its options as who would be fit enough to replace current manager, Carlo Ancelotti, as the coach of les Parisiens.
The Italian was appointed last winter, and was expected to help the club win silverware. Despite a good start to the season, the French outfit seems to struggle of late, and hasn’t been able to perform as expected of them to. The club has therefore, started
considering replacements for the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager as they line up several managers for the prime post at Parc des Princes.
One of the shortlisted candidates is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429’s manager, Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman has a contract with the club that expires next summer, and is yet to sign a new contract with the Gunners. The manager’s hesitance to extend his deal at the current club
has sparked PSG’s interest in the coach, as they consider him an ideal replacement for Ancelotti.
The former Monaco manager possesses the perfect mix required to manage a team like Paris Saint-Germain. The manager is a talented tactician, one who has considerable experience as a professional manager, and also has a reputation of transforming young prospects
into talented players. Knowing the fact that he’s also a Frenchman, this might help in bringing some added amount of support to the club.
Wenger has had several offers from different clubs during his time at Arsenal, and it would prove to be a difficult task to lure the tactician to a different club. He’s the second longest-serving manager in English Premier League, and it would take more
than a lucrative offer to convince the Frenchman.
Meanwhile, the 63-year-old seems to have problems of his own back in London. The manager had one of the worst starts to the campaign this season, including their recent loss to Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium.
Although Arsenal’s CEO, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Gazidis, has ensured his support for the manager, but the situation might change if the club doesn’t start performing soon enough.
The Frenchman isn’t the only high-profile shortlisted manager by PSG, as the club is also keen on former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 manager, Pep Guardiola, and current Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, as possible candidates for the position of manager at Parc des Princes.
