Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to condemn Chelsea and the way they have gone on to behave in the situation regarding Mark Clattenburg.
The referee has been accused of using racist language against Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Obi-Mikel-c18882 by the club, but they don’t really have any proof to back up their claims.
The Blues went on to send the FA a complaint in regards to the incident, but Wenger strongly feels that Chelsea have gone on to handle the situation in a very negative manner.
He feels the club should have stayed quiet until they had sufficient proof, but with them now jumping into the thick of things, they might not play out too well for them if they are proven wrong.
"My opinion is that I prefer, when I didn't behave well, that I have an explanation with the referee at the end of the game, or on another day, than going public with little proof," Wenger told reporters.
"I'm not a great believer in making these stories public. One of the great things in sports is tolerance, forgiveness and explanation internally and I think it should stay like that.”
"It can happen that a referee doesn't behave well. I do not say they are angels, but it is always better to sort it out in the room.”
"My deep feeling is that I have not always completely behaved very well in this situation, because they are very heated situations.”
The manager then went on to insist that personally believed that the best way to go about such things is to deal with them internally, instead of going public with them so abruptly.
He also feels that some teams and players tend to use situations like this to exploit themselves. Wenger feels that making a ‘sport’ out of such incidents is wrong and should be condemned under any and all circumstances.
Nonetheless, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 have already proceeded in their complaints despite them having very little to no proof over their allegations.
They are now going to wait for a decision, but despite that fact it is safe to say that a number of referees will now have developed a negative image of the team in their heads.
