Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger feels that club captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 is going to stick around at the Emirates and opt not to leave the team in the summers.
The Dutch international is currently in his last contractual year with the Gunners and so far, he has not yet put pen to paper on an extension on his current deal with the team.
Van Persie indicated that he would take his time to decide just what he wants to do and claimed that he would reveal his decision after the Euro 2012.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 crashing out of the contest, it seems like the striker’s decision is going to be made in the near future.
However, Arsene Wenger doesn’t seem to be too concerned over what is going to happen, since he feels the forward is more than likely going to be sticking around at the Emirates.
The striker has been linked with moves to Manchester City and Juventus, but Wenger is feeling rather confident about his decision.
The manager feels there is no chance for the striker to join City, since he feels the forward respects the fans too much to make such a decision. At the same time, he also feels that Juventus just isn’t up to the standards that Van Persie is looking for.
"He will stay at Arsenal," Wenger said in a recent interview.
"There is no reason why a top player, a big champion would want a move to Serie A - in terms of the prestige of the league, the level of play or financial considerations.”
He then went on to tell his interviewer that if Van Persie did go on and move there, he would proceed to buying him a caramello.
"If he moves there, I will buy you a caramello."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lukas-Podolski-c22896 and are on the brink of completing a move for Olivier Giroud. What this means, is that the club is prepared to move forward with our without Van Persie.
The striker said that he wanted to see some ambition from the team and with them trying to make a number of signings this early in the transfer window, it is safe to say that they have been making all the right moves to convince the goal scoring machine
to stick around.
