Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to admit that he would have preferred to sell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 to PSG, as opposed to letting him join Manchester United.
The Dutch international has gone on to complete his move to Old Trafford, following a transfer which is expected to have cost the Manchester based team a fee of twenty four million pounds.
Following his move to Old Trafford, he is expected to make his debut for the team on Monday night, when the team takes on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 in the first game of the season.
Wenger has now admitted that he was quite reluctant to let Van Persie join his rivals, but admitted that he didn’t have any choice in the end and simply had to do what he thought was best for the team.
"We made our rivals stronger, this is what we wanted to avoid at all costs, but we have not.”

"Honestly, I would have preferred the sell abroad, for example, PSG rather than Manchester United. They have the advantage of having played against him and know his great class and value.”

"He really is an exceptional player in the pure sense of the term. I have not known many players in my life who have this quality of first touch and this intelligence of movement.”

"Unfortunately, we have the reality, the economic reality, and the reality of the desire of the player. When you are not able to extend a player and that he is in his last year of contract there was no other way than to let him go.”
The manager has also gone on to reveal that the team already have players who can replace Van Persie at the club and hence the team doesn’t need to spend on another striker.
However, he did hint that the club were still in the transfer market and were going to make another signing or two before the window closed.
It is now going to be a wait to see just what player the team decides to spend their money on, after having made such a massive profit once again.
