Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to admit that he is quite disappointed with the way his side performed against Norwich, but hopes for the players to bounce back in the upcoming Champions League game against Schalke.
In the game against Norwich, the Gunners went into the match being the team that everyone assumed would end up coming out on top. However, that was not quite the case.
The match kicked off with Norwich taking the game to the Gunners, and following a goal from Grant Holt, things didn’t go according to the North London club’s plans.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 failed to create any real chances of their own, and following a very miserable performance over the course of the ninety minutes, the team went on to lose to Norwich City.
Wenger has claimed that perhaps his side went on to underestimate the potential of Norwich, and just what they were capable of. However, he isn’t looking to repeat the same mistake against Schalke.
The manager is determined to see his team prove their worth and come out with a bang in their upcoming game.
"I hope it will have a positive impact," the Gunners manager told said.
“It was a shock to the system but you have to give credit to Norwich because they played well, were completely committed and deserved the win.”
"Maybe we underrated the difficulty we would face but the Premier League is the Premier League – if you are not ready for the fight then you will always have bad surprises.”
"There is a big difference between the amount of possession we had and the amount of chances we created. That is down to the fact that Norwich defended well and we did not create a lot."
The team can’t afford to put in any more below par performances, since they will end up costing the team a great deal of points.
Given the way the league is shaping up, the Gunners can’t afford to follow further behind in the title race, considering how they are looking to put an end to their barren run this year.
It is now a wait to see just how Arsenal perform in their upcoming game.
