Wenlong Zhou thrashes Takuto Inoue in Men’s Singles qualifying round at Li Ning China Masters
China’s young player Wenlong Zhou showed up a phenomenal performance when he put up remarkable show of flawless badminton and overwhelmed Takuto Inoue of Japan in Men’s Singles qualifying round at Li Ning China Open 2012 on Tuesday, September 11, in China.
It was an absolutely sensational battle when the spirited Chinese shuttler made his home fans happy by showing a remarkable performance on court and remained successful in throwing out Takuto in just 27 minutes on court.
The Chinese played with a tremendous confidence and precision throughout the battle and managed to overpower Takuto in straight games with a one-sided margin on the board.
In the meanwhile, the Japanese shuttler was no match to the elevated skills of his Chinese opponent who was flawless in his play.
The confused Takuto tried to show good resistance but failed to make it happened as his rival remained dominant and ended the match easily.
In the first game, both shuttler executed powerful shots from opening points and tried to create gap while remaining focused.
However, Wenlong lifted up his level of play by gearing up his speed and he took a spectacular lead until the end of opening half.
After the mid-game break, Wenlong continued his positive and flawless run on court without missing any chance to keep his upper hand in the game.
The Chinese player was consistent in his planned and positive play and he finished up the opening battle with a huge 21-13 score on the board.
The second set was killing for the Japanese shuttler who could not play competitive badminton and remained trailing behind on the board at the opening stage.
Wenlong, on the other hand, played with remarkable domination on the pace of rallies and easily wrapped up a huge lead until the mid-game interval.
After the break, Wenlong remained on track as he did not lose his focus from the pace of rallies and he managed to punish his rival by ending up the second game with a 21-6 score on the board.
The in-form Wenlong won this interesting battle that ended up in straight sets with a one-sided score of 21-13 and 21-6.
