  1.   I always use witch hazel that I have put in the frig to chill.  It helps take down the swelling and relieves the soreness!

  2. I work in a dental office and if I were you i would contact your dentist to let him know you still have a swollen face, especially if you had it before the treatment was done. Having a swollen face plus pain after several days might mean you still have a infection on that tooth. If you dont take precautions and bare with the pain, the consequences might be of losing the tooth.  Are you taking the medication your doctor prescribed? If you are and the pain doesnt go away today, call your dentist for a consul or a stronger medication. but serious, get it checked!

  3. Using ice isn't going to help with this type of swelling.  The swelling you are experiencing is due to a build up of infection; this will need to be treated with an antibiotic or one that is stronger than what has been prescribed previously.  At this point, the tooth may need to be re-opened (if it wasn't finished) to drain the infection due to the swelling.  You may take an Ibuprofen at a 600mg dose every 4-6 hours to help reduce the inflammation and discomfort caused by the swelling from the infection building.  You will also need to see your dentist for follow up treatment; this need to be addressed immediately.
