Werder Bremen goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tim-Wiese-c35108 blasts DFB for imposition of the three-match ban- Bundesliga news
Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese has criticized the German Football Association for the imposition of a three-match ban. He deliberately denied http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christian-Eigler-c9073 a goal scoring opportunity by pulling his shirt
and was shown a red card for his act.
The German international was shown a straight red card in the 16th minute when he failed to clear a ball and pulled opposition striker Eigler’s shirt to deny a scoring opportunity. The German football Association implemented
a three-match ban on the player as he had received a red card already this year which left the shot stopper furious.
Die Werderaner dropped two points at the easyCredit Stadium on Saturday against FC Nuremberg as they drew 1-1. Midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mehmet-Ekici-c25163 opened the scoring for the visitors in the first-half which was cancelled by defender Philipp
Wollscheid after the interval.
Wiese was furious with DFB’s decision of implying a three match ban on him and claimed that they do whatever they want to and nobody can stop them. He stated that he is shocked with the decision and insisted that there is no justification.
“That is incomprehensible. It is incredible. They (the DFB) just do whatever they want. I am lost for words,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to a sports website.
The German international accused the German Football Association for double standards and insisted that he has not been treated fairly. The goalkeeper added that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Mancienne-c25332 got away for bringing down midfielder Aleksandar
Ignjovski with only a yellow card which should definitely have been a red and he was handed an extra match ban.
“(Michael) Mancienne hacks (Aleksandar) Ignjovski to the ground and only gets a yellow card, and I get three games for tugging somebody's shirt. They are clueless,” he concluded.
Werder Bremen have continued their sensational start to the season and are second on the Bundesliga standings table with 13 points. Die Werderaner have only lost once in the six games played and will next play Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 at
home on Sunday, September 25.
