is definitely expected to stay for many more years.
“We have discussed it with the club's management and we will soon start negotiations with Thomas Schaaf over a new contract. I am convinced that Thomas will remain with us, if the conditions are right,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview to a sports newspaper.
The General Manager admitted that Schaaf’s contribution for the club in his 12 years of management has been massive and claimed that he is the right man to take the club forward in the future.
The chief also stated that Sporting Director Klaus Allofs should also be offered a new deal as he has also been superb in his tenure. He added that it would be excellent for the club if both Schaaf and Allofs stay and take the
club further forward.
“The only person who can be our coach is Thomas Schaaf. It would of course be ideal if both of them were to remain,” he concluded.
