“We played with a man less for a long time but held our own well and deserved to get a point. The key for us was that despite all our difficulties we never stopped attacking. In our situation a result like that is still very useful.”
On the other hand, Gladbach manager, Lucien Favre had mixed emotions at the result but was disappointed with the fact that his side could not close the gap on third-placed Schalke. He stated that the game turned out to be a treat
for the fans who came out in large numbers to support their respective sides.

“It was a good game for the fans, with lots of tempo and entertainment. However, we are a bit disappointed because we should have beaten Bremen. Even when it was eleven against eleven we had more chances than they did,” Favre concluded.
