Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro has stated that his side is well capable of challenging for the honours this season. He aims for the top and is confident that the club will end the season on a high if they continue with their
great current form.
Die Werderaner are currently second on the Bundesliga standings table and level on points with leaders Bayern Munich, only lagging behind on goal difference. The club has won four of the five games played so far and downed struggling
Hamburg 2-0 this previous weekend.
Pizarro insisted that he wants his team to be amongst the best teams in the Bundesliga and is delighted with the stunning start to the season. He admitted that the team is playing some brilliant football and will go far if they
continue to play like this.

“We want to be one of the top teams in the Bundesliga and are well on our way to achieving that. We're already in second place after just five games, but we want to be at the very top. My aim is the number one spot. If we keep
winning the way we are then we can certainly achieve that,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

and keeps winning games.
“It's important for us to keep this form up as long as possible, whilst continually developing ourselves. We've got a great team and if we keep performing like this then a European spot isn't beyond us,” the skipper added.
