Werder Bremen defender, Clemens Fritz, has expressed the desire to win silverware from next season onwards, urging his fellow players to raise their game to the next level in order to provide a better title challenge to the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern
Munich and Borussia Dortmund. He was confident about his team’s chances during the 2011/12 campaign especially after the signings that could prove fruitful to the club.
He enthused that every individual seemed happy with the recent signings that the club has made during the ongoing summer transfer window. The 30-year-old mentioned that the players are training hard and are determined to lead their side to new heights. He
also hailed the Bremen management for continuously supporting their players and spending wisely during the summer.
In an interview to a local news channel, Fritz added, "We still have high expectations, but we all must be on the same wavelength. Of course we know that it won't be an easy season. We know that we are laying the foundation here. That's why we are working
very hard and everyone is giving their all."
Bremen Coach, Thomas Schaaf, admitted to his team’s under-par performances during the last season. He claimed that his side would be a completely different unit from the next term onwards and will definitely attain a European spot at the conclusion of the
