No that would be the Australian team from the last World Cup final. They lost in the final to England which shows how bad they truly were.

No of course not.  They were the defending champions.  That still means something to the South Africans who fought for 80 minutes to get this victory and not one player in that side is running them down.  Two tough teams and one h**l of a game.

England went into the lead tonight, only to be denied by a complete buffoon. Anyone with 20/ 20 vision could see that England scored a try, if that decision would have been called correctly then England probably would have won.

Without a shadow of doubt yes. Their form over the last four years and coming into the tournament was disgraceful. And Mancloud, the whole point is England are a worse side than France and Australia. They are worse than NZ, SA, Aussie, Argentina, France & Ireland. Sure they done better this tournsament but they havent for the last four years and probably wont for the next four. You cant say that about any other finalist

England played all the rugby tonight, RSA did very little to win, they merely prevented England winning.

Well done England, and a good day at the office for the Bokke but it has to be said; not really a great Springbok performance.

In what way james j?? I sort of know what your getting at and looking back over the RWC Id have to say yes.... usually the favorites dominate the entire tournament and the RWC is played and won before pool play is even finished..... This year most of the favourites got the boot and yes 'Dads Army' in pool play were not even highly rated and not even expected to ever win again after there trouncing by the boks (pool play).

My respect for the England team has certainly increased after watching the final and I think it was in the last 10 where they really lost it and not with the disallowed try.
