    You might has "How would Homo Habilis have not been nomadic?" There was no agriculture and one must keep moving (nomadic) to gather food and hunt game.

Yes and no- early humans were not very widespread compared to other species of humans- they didn't seem to range very widely.  But while they didn't make permanent shelters and wandered around, they most likely had home territories that they defended and rarely ventured out from.  They would be more comarable to troops of chimpanzees than to bands of nomadic humans in the contemporary world.
