Question:

Were The Repub Convention Speakers aware they were telling Lies last night?

As they were speaking i was thinkng "this is not true", over and over.

I also noticed alot of over generalization whose purpose i believe was to mislead those who didn't know any better, such as Palin's statements on Taxes. And then the final smear/pandering about "VICTORY" and fudging the Iraq situation without addressing the lies that took us into it or Osama Bin Laden still free.

  1. Are you aware you are telling some

  2. The new VP candidate started off right . Criticizing the press.  The press should be criticized but for the opposite.  Have heard that Osama Bin Ladin isn't even on the FBI top ten wanted.Go figure.Don't forget the double speak  Example - Democrat tax increase - NOT-what they are calling an increase is the taking away of the tax break for the rich.  In a way That is a tax increase for the rich.., Love those word plays.

  3. I enjoyed the facts she told and found most of them to be true she does have way more executive experience as governor of Alaska then Barack Obama and whenhe siad he did not hear Rev. Jeremiah Wright  God  D,,, the usa I bet you belive him

  4. Maybe you haven't read the fine print about your candidate. Her speech was totally accurate.

  5. Of course they're aware. It's unfortunate that the good nature of the people is so often used against them. People want to believe that our leaders are good, upstanding, honest, people who are there out of a need to do their civic duty. They don't really believe that their own government would lie to them, so they don't even bother to research it. What's more is that Americans are so loyal that they will defend the actions of their leaders even when they have been proven to have lied. They just say "Oh, everybody's human".  The republican leaders know this all too well, and take full advantage of this naivete.

  6. Typical liberal rant. Cant refute whats said, call it a lie.

And why didn't Clinton get Bin Laden when he had the chance?

  7. Well, on some occasions, yes, I believe they were aware that what they were saying wasn't true. But I think it's a mistake at this stage to confuse idiocy with strategy. Some of the time, I think they were lying, pure and simple, as a strategy to win the crowd. But most of the time, I just think they just didn't understand that just because they say a thing it doesn't magically become true. This appears to have become standard Republican policy over the last eight years. You remember?:

"Saddam has weapons of mass destruction, and we will find them."

"There is a clear and present danger to the USA from Iraq. They have nuclear weapons."

A McCain special, just to add to the mix - "The economy has made great progress under George Bush"...

And so on...Some idiocy, some strategy, all nonsense.

  8. It's what they do, I'm sure they were aware. All she did was lie throughout that speech and I hope to God she gets hammered on, BIG TIME. I can't wait for the debates and I really can't wait until she has to speak off the cuff, we'll really see what she knows then, although, I'm sure they'll have their talking points.

  9. I've read the article...they all lied last night! Remember where Bush's lies got us to...a War!

I can't wait for Lying Palin to go against Biden in Oct. 2, he's gonna hammer her!

Hockey mom is going DOWN people!

  10. Maybe but give them a credit for not saying as many as the Democrats............. ;-))

  11. They didn't tell any more lies then the Democrats do

  12. are you aware that Yahoo is doing everything it can to get a democrat elected as well?  did you know they didn't post all the lies and untruthful things that Obama and company said?  Don't buy into the propoganda.  Wait until the debates to hear what they have to say.  Anyone who has already made up their mind is just voting along party lines..../

  13. Since it's all they ever do I'd have to say yes.

  14. Of course they are aware. They simply don't care because they know most of America isn't going to bother 'fact checking' them. this is exactly how they won the last 2 elections. Why should they change if we as a country let them keep getting away with it?

  15. I was aware they were telling lies the second I saw anyone's lips moving.

I LOVE the one about how she got mor votes for MAYOR, than Joe Biden got for president!!!!

Geeeeeeeee, that would be a GREAT zinger........

if only it were actually TRUE!!!!

    But hey...............nice smear............what did ya expect ?

Policy specifics, for plans they don't have?

  16. Probably not.

  17. Sorry, no, they didn't turn into liberals.

  18. Of course. That's what they do. Just wrap it around some good old-fashioned fear mongering and give everyone in the audience a cowboy hat, and BAM, you've got the ignorant, red state vote locked.

  19. The truth hurts when you hear doesn't it?

  20. They were very much aware of the lies they were telling (well maybe not Palin cause she doesn't have a clue) but no one can ever accuse the Republicans of letting truth get in the way when speaking.

  21. You poor, misguided, leftist, liberal, Obama-supporting fools.

  22. Can you think of any truth that came out of the dnc's (lower case on purpose) little get together not even a good bump for Obama.

  23. They thrive in lies - what do you expect?

  24. MORE REPUBLICAN LIES HERE:   http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/...

  25. Yeah but they don't care, cause they know their losing and will say anything at this point.

  26. What Palin will say in a debate is not what she was saying last night. She'd get hammered.
