Were You Raised With Manners and Morals and Hated it?

I mean you were raised with: please, thank you, yes sir, and boundaries and general morals? I was. And it was drilled into me.

Don't you sometimes hate having manners? I mean deep down inside you want to say just gimme the mustard, dude, or someone that bumps into you at the store, you just want to say what's up with you? I know manners cover up a multitude of sins, but sometimes you just want to unleash. It sucks to be good, don't you agree????

  1. There is nothing wrong with having manners ... If you do have manners I will treat you acordingly .

If you don't have manners and are rude . I will also treat you accordingly.

  2. No, I like having manners.......I mean, you can always take out your "rudeness" playfully with friends. Most friends don't really care if you're like, "Just gimme the mustard, dude"

  3. And then when you and the person who bumped into you beat the, uh, doo-doo out of each other, do you think you'll be HAPPY?

Do YOU like being ordered around as though you were a slave or thing?

This is why we do things like "please" and "excuse me" -- it's simply acknowledging the humanity of the other humans; and accepting their acknowledgement of us.

Having been treated rudely, I must say I don't like it.

No one does, including the person sitting nearest the mustard.

I mean, commmON, how hard is it to add that one syllable?

Or to say "Ow!" and accept the bumper's apology graciously?

Isn't it better than pummelling each other, or shooting each other?

  4. I am glad that I was raised with manors.

I think that they have made me into a gentleman.

  5. I sooo know what you mean!  I was raised with all that and am raising my girls the same way!  You must have them!  I can still hear my dad saying HUH h**l!!!  (you should always say sir or mam when you didn't understand what was said)

And yes I would love to be rude to some people and just forget all that!  But when I find myself finally feed up with the rude world and I say something rude to who ever is also being rude then they will be like oh I am sorry and then I feel SOOOO Bad and say a little prayer for forgiveness for my ugliness!  Oh how bad it is to have morals and a conscience!

  6. well, you always come to a point where you think that 'it sucks to be good', but then you'll realize it's better to be good for your soul's (or call it what you like) sake and be glad you're like that.

    i completely sympathize with you!

  7. Everyone has morals & manners, they just differ from person to person.
