  1. No, more like the opposite.  When I was younger I believed in aliens, ghosts, all that ****.  But having had plenty of time to never experience the slightest bit of paranormal phenomena, I've decided that skeptical is the way to go.  I find I like being skeptical better, this way I don't have to wonder if what I'm believing is right, I don't have to be paranoid, and things generally make a bit more sense.

  2. Ghosts do not exist. There are supernatural events that do occur, but once dead you either go to heaven or h**l. Angels and demons (both good and bad) are constantly around us, and certain demons can act as human spirits to confuse the mind or alter the beliefs. When our minds are altered we often seek the help with ojiua boards, tarah cards, mediums, horoscopes, and etc... all which are an abomination to God. It makes sense why satan would want to confuse people and trick them with his demons... but be careful not to side with satan, but with God alone. Have faith in Jesus, and know that God sent his only son to die on the cross to take away your sins, that he rose three days later, and will come again.

p.s. try reading psalm 91 (prayer of protection)

  3. I had participated in many paranormal investigations, using cameras, meters, recorders, etc. After about 30 of them without a glimmer, I was about to call it a fraud.

One night we were in this VERY old cemetery and I chanced upon a gravestone of a young girl with a doll carved into it. I tried my meters, no readings. So I got out my recorder, and asked her a few questions. I mark date/location/spot on recorder for each EVP try.

When I got home, I played a hour's worth of static and big mouth investigators until suddenly I hit the young girls spot on the recorder. It said, not too quietly "will you come back and play with me" and "bring me some toys." I freaked, played it over and over and there were not other voices on the tape.

So I came back, and brought her some toys. And my skepticism finally went away.

  4. For me it was the opposite.  I was a believer, but since nothing happened (and other reasons) I am no longer a believer.

  5. Up until I was 19 I didn't believe in any kind of non-corporeal entity like a ghost. I had a few experiences when I was younger that I just wrote off as an over active imagination. But one experience was undeniable in my mind. I don't claim to know what I saw but I know I saw something. There's no convincing me otherwise.

What happened (and you may remember this story from previous questions) was I was about to go to sleep in my mom's basement of her old house. There were only three of us in the house and I was the only one down stairs. My brother came down and wend into the laundry room to turn off the light in there. He went back up stairs and I knew he did because I heard his foot steps and the door close to his room.

There was a night light plugged into the wall just at the top of the stairs and I could see fairly well even though I was in another room - light still illuminated the hall way. And when I saw what I saw I was not under the influence of any kind of drug. Nor have I ever had a history of serious mental problems that could produce hallucinations.

But not long after my brother left the basement, comming from the opposite direction of the stairs I saw a full figured human like shadow emerge from the laundry room. For the most part my reaction was not instant. I didn't think I was seeing anything really there - except as it walked into the room I was in, it blocked the light behind it that was shining down from the stair way. Something was there. Then not only that it walked, it straight up *walked* over to me stood within a foot of the couch I was laying and I could hear it breathing. Hearing it breathe is what really spooked me.

But at this point my skeptical side kicked in and I thought it just had to be my brother playing a prank. So I said to it I was going to kick its ***. As I was getting up to turn on the light it walked towards a wall, sort of shrank (as if it was ducking into a hole and disappeared). When I turned on the light it was gone.

I've never had an encounter quite like that before. I decided not to sleep in the basement anymore and a few weeks later I moved out. It also made me consider that previous experiences I had discounted, may have been more real than I realized.

Again I don't pretend to know what I saw, but I am certain I saw something.

  6. No, but unlike most people if I see something unexpected or unusual I investigate and/or research. Each and every time there were more plausible naturalistic explanations for what I experienced.

Because of my scientific training I am not afraid of things that go bump in the night, and it has never failed me.

  7. I had given up on anything spiritual ever happening to me. At one of my lowest points...all of a sudden a LOT  of things started happening...like an awakening...and it lasted for 10 years. Wish I had kept my mouth shut about it though. I thought others would want to know. Boy was I wrong. People either think you've lost your mind...or they're spiritually jealous of you. It's great to be on here where some people appreciate hearing your experiences. ..and actually believe you.
