  1. Take a quick 20 minute ride on the Green Line out to Oak Park, and go on a self guided Frank Lloyd Wright architectural tour. Here's a map http://oprf.com/flw/index-walk.html.

You could also go see a movie in Grant Park on Tuesday night. Pack a picnic and bring a blanket. It feels awesome watching a classic movie with the entire Chicago skyline laid out in front (or in this case the to the left) of  you.

  2. Start at the Shedd Aquarium, walk the lake, see Buckingham Fountain, catch the troller to Navy Pier, ride the Ferris Wheel, watch the fireworks, get a horse ride on Ohio St., eat at Rock n Roll McDonalds, dance at Excalibur and call it a night!

  3. michigan Ave millenium park the beach

  4. for valentines day my date and i went to the Grand Lux Cafe off of michigan ave. And it was very romantic and relaxing and in the summer time waling anywhere downdown is nice as long as the weather is decent. it runs about 30-40 a person depending on what you are in to food wise

  5. Is this a date that you would consider a picnic?  If so make it a day and bring a picnic lunch and go to Millennium Park.  Have a great lunch wade in the fountain, get pictures by "The Bean" and do all sorts of "dumb touristy stuff" .  Depending on how the day goes have a fun or quiet dinner down town or back near where you live there are plenty of nice outdoor dining spots. Or do something crazy and take a train to a neighborhood that is not your own and find a little spot to eat.  Most of the towns along the North and Northwest lines have developed nice town areas near the train stations and they are great lively spots.  (Just make sure that you have checked the train schedule so you know when you can get the train back to where you need to go.)

  6. well i have been to the sears tower..to the top and i would say walking there and going to the top is the most romantic thing you can do. don't tell whoever your taking where you are going....wait till you get to the top and she will be blown away =)

  7. There are hundreds of things to do in Chicago for free, or for little money.

    1) Navy Pier (walk, shop, rides, entertainment, 3D IMAX)

    2) The Magnificent Mile (walk, shop, site seeing, history)

    3) Clark Street (tons of shops, cool stores, clubs)

    4) Museums (Art, Science and Industry, Field)

There are tons of romantic restaurants too! Depending on how much you want to spend, you can have a great meal anywhere in the city.

$30-$40 lunch/$50-$60 dinner per person: #1 choice: Fogo De Chao on Lasalle St.

$30-$40 per person: #1 choice: Lawry's Steakhouse on Ontario St.

$20-$30 per person: # 1 choice: Weber Grille on N. State St.

$10-$20 per person: # 1 choice: Ed Debevic's on N. Wells St. /and # 2 choice Hard Rock Cafe on W. Ontario St.

For great ideas, just go online and check out www.metromix.com and choose "Chicago".

Hope you have a great time on your date!
