  1. Your question is unclear.  "Were" meaning "Where" perhaps.  Even so, I still don't quite understand.

    It sounds like you're asking if some lessons aren't suitable for some students due to maturity?

    Most lessons can be adapted either up or down for age by adapting the amount of subject matter, the method of teaching and the material used.  For example, many lessons that are too old for younger students, in science, are because the materials are too hard to physically manipulate.  But you could do the manipulation part yourself.  Or instead of working individually, you can put students into small groups.  Then, you would pick a more mature leader in each group to do the manipulation.

    You can also teach more difficult concepts as class demonstrations rather than being done by each individual student.
