  1. Between 7 and 8%. Don't get excited. Banking surcharges and tax , which is levied on a monthly basis, on your acct. means that for the equivalent of $10,000 US you might get as little as $1.50 US per month.

Keep your money in dollars in a first world country.

  2. I think you can find some info at http://www.banxico.org.mx/ (Banco de Mexico's website) but maybe not all you're trying to find out.

You could also try particular banks websites, because the rates vary from bank to bank, so you could google the pages for: Banamex, Banorte, BBVA Bancomer, Santander Serfin.

You might also find some useful info at: www.condusef.gob.mx/

  3. Many retirees living in Mexico invest with Lloyds click the link below to see:

Minimum investments (rollover the fund names)

Total accounts under their administration (rollover top paragraph)

Current fund prices (click Fund Prices)

Fund Performance percentages (click Funds Performance)

Branch Offices (click Map of Branches)

  4. Google banamex, HSBC, scotiabank, there are a few other I do not remember.  My account is at banamex and I can Orlandi money right into it.
