  2. My advise is don't. Do not buy a Capuchin or any other form of primate, they do not make good pets and most of them end up living a very miserable existance in cages because they don't learn to socialize with their own kind, and when they reach puberty, they change from being the cute little harmless pets they started out being and their owners can't handle them anymore. They are far too smart to be pets, and most people don't know how to keep one happy, healthy and well behaved beyond infancy, they aren't prepared for the responsibility or for the way they will have to shape their lives around that of the monkey. They live a lot longer than most pets, they need a lot more mental stimulation, a lot more interaction, they need to have pretty much a full time care giver that understands them and is willing to deal with it in a humane, correct way if the monkey starts acting out in puberty, slinging f***s, biting, scratching, ect. They need much more space than just about any cage you will find for sale anywhere, they really shouldn't be kept in cages anyway. They will learn how to get out of most cages anyway. Not to mention, thanks to the pet trade, some species of monkeys are becoming endangered in the wild and all these 'pet' monkeys that are sold won't be very likely to breed and help repopulate the wild because they don't know how to be monkeys or be around monkeys.

Don't buy one. It would be the cruelest thing you could do.

  3. You need a proper certificate before you get any of those ultra exotic animals.
