Were can i get a pet duck?

ok i live in the city no pet stores sell them so were i do not want to order offline

  1. Might not be allowed to keep them in the city - most cities don't allow any kind of livestock.  Check and see if you're allowed to own one before you get ducks.

    Don't get just one - ducks need companionship.  You'd have to get at least a pair.

    Most hatcheries offer ducklings, or you're going to have to look for a local breeder, which might be pretty difficult in the city.  I got mine from a friend who's raised them for years, but I know alot of people who breed locally - muscovies, khaki campbells, call ducks and so on.  There will probably be some for sale at your county fair (this is the month for most fairs), so that might be a place to start looking locally.

    I hope you don't plan on trying to keep it indoors.  Ducks are very messy and need a yard.  They also like a pond or water source to play in.

    They need countryside.

    And they should actually be wild!!

  3. um my friends mom ordered baby chicks and baby ducks for her son but i forget where. i think it might have been tractor supply
