where can i get bamboo seeds?

I just bought bamboo seeds on Ebay.  they are expensive.  or at least i think they were.  with shipping they were 19.00 for 60 seeds.  of all places they came from Germany.  I have been growing them slowing.  I have two that are about 7 inches tall in a flower  bought and 5 coming up now.  you have to soak them, they plant them and it takes awhile for them to come up.  Since this is the first time that i have grown it i am taking my time and not using all my seeds at once and have them growing in pots in my kitchen window.  i keep them well watered everyday.

You CAN get them on the net. Its cheap but alot of work to get them to maturity. Plus you are taking somebodys word that you are getting the right species.

Make sure you get a species that will fit your growth zone. And stay away from runners if possible. Clumping bamboo is WAY more neighbor friendly.

If you live in a growth zone less than 8 or so clumpers are limited but they still exist (Fargesia for example). Stay away from Phylostaches, they are cold tolerant but runners
