  1. try to stay with you friends or relatives for a little while until your financial situation improves.  or maybe consider renting a room to stay or find a roommate.  or maybe ask someone to help you babysit while you go make a living.  if you're a woman, maybe there's a woman shelter in your area?  ask your church for help?  i don't know.  good luck.  remember to work hard!!!

  2. You need to get on food stamps.  It will work just like a credit card at the grocery store when you use them.  Visit the site below.  They will pay for many food items.  Stick to what they cover and you and your two year old will be eating healthy for less money.

Don't spend what you save on food.  You need that to pay rent.  See the second link for help paying rent or finding cheaper places to rent.  If you know the father of your two year old, and he/she isn't helping, you might find the third link helpful.

When you start to get these things in order, you want to save up a little money to get you through rough spots.  Start with one month's costs as your goal.  This money is to help with the loss of a job or to get you to work when the car is broken down or you have other emergencies.

  3. The state should help you, with food stamps, there is section 8 which you only have to pay a little bit of your rent. Call 211. Or your local welfare/social services office. They'll help you out.
