Were can i hang a punching bag?

Question

I want to get a 40 pound punching bag would it be ok to hang it on a normal ceiling and i would hang it in my basement but it isnt a option

depends wat ur celling is made out of if u think it is strong enough but u would have but it so its also in a beam in the celling if i were u i would just try my best to put it in my basement

you can hang it in your ceiling, even if the ceiling is plaster try finding the stud my knocking with your finger or using a stud finger. use an eye bolt and drill into the stud, the eyebolt will hold your S clamp on the bag. you also would want to make sure that you have open space because when you train it helps if you can move freely all the way around the bag.
