  1. Several styles of kung fu teach a five animal system as derived from the temples (not just Shaolin) in China. The most well known and available of these is Hung Kuen which teaches five animals (dragon, leopard, crane, tiger and snake) and five elements (earth, water, fire, wood and metal). Most of the other Shaolin ancestor styles teach variations of these.

When the Chinese government ravage the temples hundreds of years ago, five masters fled and hid. These included Hung, Choy, Lee, Fut, Mok.  Each of these styles INDIVIDUALLY will likely teach the animals styles (however the Choy Lee Fut style oddly doesn't). My first ever kung fu style called Kee Gar did but that was a northern system and included Crane, Tiger, Dragon, Mantis and Ape).

There are also individual animal styles such as Dragon style, Monkey style (Tai Shing Pa Kwa), Tiger system (Fu Jow Pai), dog boxing, Northern and Southern Preying Mantis, Tibetan and Chinese White Crane, etc.

You're never going to learn more than five in a system and it will take a lifetime and beyond to master them. See if you can find a Hung Kuen or Hung Gar school as they are the most common. Mok Gar is similar as well.

    Hope that helps

    Edit:

Randy: By the way.... Chuan Fa does not translate as "5 animal kung fu"; Chuan Fa translates as 'Fist Way' - it is what kung fu was known as before it came to the west.

  2. chuan fa is translated as "5 animal kung fu". It focuses on animal fighting techs. Thats your best bet, as for the ninja.....learn ninjitsu or taijutsu
