This is the forum I go on when I am looking for players or a group to join and it's always worked for me, although I'm in London so there's more going on there. It's possible you may have to travel to get a game.

If you are still at school your best bet would be to try to get your existing mates to give it a try and start a group together. This is because a) adult groups don't always want under-16's because of the responsibility/weirdness of inviting someone else's child round to their house and b) you at least know in advance if one or more of the players is going to be an idiot.
