  1. AnnualCreditReport.com is the site mandated by the FTC to access your free annual credit report online for all three credit bureaus.  This is the only site that does not require you to sign up for monitoring services.

Report are free but you have to pay for the scores.  Best place to get your scores is MyFico.com.  You get real FICO not Fako.

Derogatory items stay on your credit file for 7-1/2 years from date of first deficiency.  Nothing can restart this time period.  This is per the FCRA.

Statute of Limitations (SOL), the timeframe to bring lawsuit, varies from state to state and is usually based on the date of last activity or payment.  Payment will restart the SOL, and in some cases, acknowledging he debt can restart the SOL.

People often confuse and merge the reporting period and the SOL.  They are two completely different things.  But even if a debt is beyond the reporting period and the SOL, collectors can still try to collect.  They can hound you to the grave.

  2. www.annualcreditreport.com         free once a year for all 3 bureaus....credit will fall off credit report 7 years from the date of your last pay.......check statue of limitation in your state, will tell you when the SOL is.

    Good Luck!!
