Were in manhattan can i bring empty bottles and cans for 5 cents and what are these places called?

I would presume they are called Recycling Centers.  Most major supermarkets have some mechanism for doing this or can refer you.  Sometimes there will be a recycling station in the parking lot of these places.  The times they are open are posted and can vary significantly.
