Were is my bose amplifier??????

I have a 2001 chevy blazer extreme and i belive i have a problem with my amp i was driving down the road with my stero about mid volume and out of no where the music cut no poping no static and no hiss and now the deck works just fine and acts like its working but there is not any sound comming form the speakers everyone is telling me its my amp and if it is were is it and if not what may be wrong??????????

  1. Unless you have a seperate sound system, which is only likely if you spent a lot of money, the amplifier is inbuilt into the headunit, and so you will need to get the headunit repaired.


  2. it should be loose wiring.

  3. The amplifier in your vehicle should be located underneath the center console storage area.  It's not the easiest thing to get to.

    Your vehicle probably has a fuse in the fuse box that's specifically for the Bose amplifier, but it sounds as though there's more to the problem than a blown fuse.


  4. I'd go ahead and detach the head unit and double check all the connections in the back.
