Were is the Transmission Modulator Valve located?

I have a 1992 Ford ranger with a bad modular valve, were would the valve be found on the tranny?

if its a vaccume modulator its on the right side near the rear it will have a vac line from the rear of the intake manifold going to it

Like the man said its on the right side of the trany. Be sure not to lose the little rod that sticks in the modulator valve. Also with the hose disconnected from the valve start the engine so all the fluid in the line will get sucked out. If you don't the valve can't work right. The stock valve isn't adjustable, but after some market ones are.
