For my 60s project, im creating an interactive 60s field. I'm not sure whether to include a lava-lamp, as it's outside. In the sixties, did lavalamps need to be charged to an electrical supply to function?

  1. If you mean could you carry them from place to place, sure.  If you mean where they battery powered, no.  Need lots of current to heat the oils to get them to make the blobs all us acid heads loved to watch.

  2. Lava lamps need to be plugged into a wall outlet.

  3. Lavalamps in the 60's are just like the ones of today, as in the all have to be plugged in to work.
