  1. All rodents like to play, and I read on a website that they tickle each other sometimes.

They also might have been trying to establish dominance and figure out who is the biggest, strongest, etc.

  2. nothing happened.

    guinea pigs play around alot.

thats how they do it. i have two my self they have been together for a year but sometimes they chase each other around the cage and like try to  bite one another and others they are sleeping next to eachother.

i dont think nothing is wrong. but if one is pregnant you need to watch her because when she has her babies you need to Immedetly remove the other guinea pigs. they will try to eat the babies:( good luck tho!

    :D

  3. I had hamsters and we had to put them in separate cages cause they fought. When they were young they can be together but as they get older they should be in separate cages.

  4. I disagree with the responses that say that guinea pigs should be housed in separate cages.

I have 2 females who live together in a large cage and they will temporarily seem as though they're "fighting". I've read that this can be a completely normal behavior as a display of dominance (even among females). The piggies just need to establish their hierarchy and things should setlle down.

My advice is to just keep an eye on them and see if the fighting becomes very violent, otherwise just let them go! :)

  5. How big is your cage?  If it's just normal size it is too small for 3 pigs.  Set the pregnant one in a cage by herself.  Likely the pigs either got to bullying her because she's pregnant or the pregnant one started feeling defensive and protective of her baby.  Truly, take the pregnant pig away from the others, get a bigger cage for the other 2.  Once she's had the baby, if you don't keep the baby, you can keep her in the cage with the others.  Although if you keep the baby and it's female it's probably best to keep it with it's mother in their own cage.  If it's male you should put it in it's own cage while putting the mother with the other 2, because he will try to mate with her and the other 2.

  6. well, when i had two female guineas, they would play sometimes. i could get a little rough. i think it may be a dominance thing.

  7. put them in seperate cages hey could be fighting for territory

  8. K however said guinea pigs should never be put together is a complete dumbass. Anyways..I could say everything here, but I think it would be best if you were to read over this link.

If your scroll near the bottom it shows you the things you should look for the in behvior of your pig while determing their domience. It will tell you too what things to look for when you need to seperate them.

She might just be getting hormonial because she's pregnant, it happens most of the time. To me with what you described sounds like nothing to worry about. Most piggies go through this every once in a while.

  9. If none of them are hurt then don't worry.  It is natural for them to have small fights over territory it is the way they sort out differences.  The only reason to separate them would be a bad injury as they love each other's company really and it sound like the cage is big enough for all three.  By the way the "cuddling" was humping.  It is not that they are L*****n (probably not anyway) just the one humping saying she is the boss because she can mount the other one.  Again perfectly normal.

  10. It could be because they are fighting over territory.  It also could be because they were just playing.  Try putting them in different cages if this continues.

  11. Why do you think one is pregnant?

  12. When a guinea pig is pregnant she becomes REAL moody and REAL territorial! I have had experience with my own and she is due any day now! She bites me when I move a little towel in her cage...

  13. guinea pigs should never be put in a shared cage , not even 2 females .

    EDIT*=

it's not because of over crowding it's because they have a very high territory trait .

you should have read up on them b4 buying and mixing them together !

  14. get a diff cage 4 one of them 4 now! ♥♥

  15. I have four cages with three sows each. This happens in my herd too. Its just a temporary squabble & will work itself out.

  16. i would say that they all just got into a little fight. you know how people do that when they get mad t each other mybe they were md but then again you hould watch them carefully to see if its continuing
