  1. If you need a final head count for the caterer, it will depend on when they want to know that.

If not, I would suggest 3-4 weeks before the wedding. That way people have time to think about it, and you'll have time to make a seating chart if you need to, etc.

  2. 2 weeks

  3. 2 weeks before your final head count is needed! So you can call the people who do not re-send the response card back!

  4. 2 weeks before the wedding date, so yours should be RSVP by Sept 27

  5. Check when your venues/caterers need the final head count by. Usually this is 1-2 weeks before the wedding. Then make your RSVP date at least week before this date to allow for late responders and so you have time to call anyone who hasn't RSVPed to see if they are coming (in order to give the numbers to the venue/caterers on time). If you have a very large guest list maybe make it 2 weeks before the date to give yourself plenty of time to call those that haven't responded.

If you don't have venues/caterers that need head counts, then it's up to you what date you put for them to RSVP. I'd still put the date a few weeks before the wedding though in case you need numbers to organise seating, food, etc.

  6. What is your date you have to give your vendors the final head count?  I would do 1 week before that so you have time to make follow up calls.

  7. well hopefully most brides are.i know i only want to be one once!  experienced brides may not be looked at as a good thing :) anyway usually 3 to 4 week in advance is the usual time frame. if you are having to meet several deadlines for a really big wedding (150 guest+, meal choices, alcohol, etc..) i would say 4 because people are always late. but if you are having a cake and punch reception where it might not matter how precise you are i would say 3.

    good luck!

  8. I would say 2-3 weeks, just so you know yourself that everyone has replied, you can confirm with the caterer and then that is another thing off the list. If you leave it too late you will be too consumed with numbers you will forget to breathe and enjoy the lead up to your wedding.

    Have a great day

  9. Please RSVP by September 22, 2008

You cannot gaurantee people will send the response cards back.  If they do FANTASTIC.  If they don't, you should be on the phone calling those people for a verbal RSVP so that you can get the final number of guests to your caterer and other vendors who will require this information.  This should be done 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

    Good Luck and congrats!!
