Alright, the two choices are at Dillards or UPS.

At dillards, i would get paid 9 bucks an hour.I had an interview and today i went back for a second interview and the guy said he would see if there was any openings that would work with my hours

(I am a student). Working conditions are probably better here than ups but check it out.

At UPS, they pay 8.50 an hour and they have tuition reimbursement (they pay for college). But that is only after January first. That means that they will have to rehire me bc it is only a seasonal job so there is no guarantee i will get rehired.

In your opinion, which is the better choice?

  1. Dillard's sounds like a better job assuming that you get the job.  Don't make the mistake of counting your chickens before they have hatched.

  2. I have heard many scary tales from UPS. I would pick anything over that.. they basically slave you. but from reading your question it seems like you want to work at Dillards. It seems like a nice job. Every job has demands, you shouldn't worry about the sales quota just yet. Make sure you actually have the job before you turn one down. The guy saying he will contact you if he has any openings does not seem secure enough yet to make any finals decisions..

    Hope this helped! Good luck!
