Were the Ancient Gods Real?.?

I think that all of these myths of Gods, Hero's etc were real. Think about this way, If our God created Adam and Eve (The First people) Than who were the first people of Ancient Greece and Egypt etc. I mean, if the gods weren't real we basically wouldn't exist.

Deities of all times and places are "real" to those that believe or have faith in them.  A "myth" is not a fable or story.  "Myths" explain why things are, so fundamentally, all religions have myths attached to them.  God(s), in all ideologies, are myths.  It is up to individuals to decide whether a myth has a literal or figurative meanings or if it is just purely entertainment with a moral.

There is a theory that the ancient gods of Egypt were actually extraterrestrials that were sowing life on another planet. I read an interesting book on this subject. It's called the Stargate Conspiracy. It's an interesting read if you ever get the time.

Also think about this:  The ancient deities had equivalents all over the world in a time where travel of that magnitude would not be possible.  Monotheistic religions started and spread later, when long travel was more possible for trading, wars, etc.  Ancient cultures had gods and goddesses very similar to each others without having contacted those other cultures.

heros, perhaps.  But God clearly states that we should have no other gods to worship.  i think all the myths about gods were simply myths.  There is only one God (in three forms).  God creates everything from angels, to humans, to animals.  But God doesnt create Gods.
