  1. I could be possible, but I seriously doubt it.  The Celts might have brought some, since the traveled and concured a big portion of Europe.  The Spanish had a big presence in Ireland, as did the French.


  2. YES - An Egyptian princess named Scota, who may have lived around 1500 B.C. - came to Ireland, via Spain, from Egypt. Two Egyptian sailing ships, dated to around 1400 B.C., were discovered in a Yorkshire estuary, on the north west coast of England. Egyptian faience beads dating from the same period have been found in Scotland and other parts of the British Isles.
