Were there any historians that objected to Queen Elizabeth 1 being single?

I'm doing a research project about historiography, and my topic is Elizabeth 1, in particular the historians from her death onwards throughout different centuries who would've reacted badly to her never marrying. it seems all the reasearch ive done reveals nothing. Surely gender expectations of the 1900s and onwards would've spawned some bad opinions from historians??? Help please? It's really annoying me! just names of historians who had bad opinions, or anything else you think would help...

  1. none do, a historian would understand the logical reasons why she didn't marry. Victorians were logical and excellent historians, it would be ridiculous for them to expect her to marry

she accepted a proposal but was made to reverse it by her privy council

English monarchs only rule with the consent of the aristocracy, who staged two revolutions to remove the monarch when they did not approve

  2. There have always been the suggestion intimate relationship between Elizabeth and Robert Dudley, but nothing to the level of an official marriage. It is not so much her not marrying that is an issue, but rather her virginity.
